HOMEWORK:
  MATH: No Homework
READING:  SOME students have a summary and/or the "quiz" to complete about the "History of Yum" article.
The February Book Project is due Tuesday. Students have known this as we talk about it frequently.

MATH   - Mrs. Custer
We are just wrapping up our unit on multiplication of whole numbers and decimals.  Because of swimming, Mrs. Blowers will be reviewing the unit with her homeroom, and we are planning the test for the week of March 7.

BLOWERS WRITING:

Some students presented their speeches on Friday and we will finish on Monday. We will have a break from writing this week while their is swimming in order to get math in.

READING: with Mrs. Blowers
This week we read paired texts about the creation of Hershey's chocolate and Reese's Pieces. As a class, we again practiced comparing and contrasting as well as writing a compare/contrast piece using our information and signal words. We also practiced pulling the big ideas from the text and writing a summary. Next week students will independently use their skills with paired texts about the creation of the hamburger and taco.

Social Studies with Mrs. Custer
Social Studies - It was a short week, but we continued our compare/contrast work on the three regions of the early colonies.
Science with Mrs. Blowers
This week we will review concepts and take the first part of the last test in this unit on Friday. Students will be sent Study Stacks by email to study as usual. They also have journal pages to study. We will begin research projects on planets and dwarf planets. Once these are completed, we will take the remainder of the test.
Spelling:     The Lesson 17 skill is making plural words. We will have this test on Monday. The spelling list is in the spelling tab.
